Sail on board Silver Muse
Dining

With the importance of food in Italian culture, you would expect dining to be a high priority at Silversea. And it most assuredly is. Moreover, gastronomic excellence is a given thanks to Silversea’s partnership with the prestigious Grands Chefs Relais & Châteaux. No matter where you dine, their influence is readily apparent in the great diversity and presentation of culinary selections on board your all inclusive cruise.

Atlantide

Instantly recalling images of the sea in all her watery majesty, the Atlantides are the seven nymph daughters of Atlas. Creative muses, known for their wisdom and beauty, the sisters were granted immortality in the form of stars and can be seen today in the constellation of Taurus.

Pivotal to the Silver Muse dining experience, this elegant bar and grill incorporates the best that the sea has to offer. Created to temper your taste buds, designer dishes such as royal crab, blue lobster and Verbena infused red snapper in a sea salt crust are showcased alongside the best steaks offshore.

La Terrazza

An iconic hallmark of Silversea dining, La Terrazza offers authentic recipes and the freshest ingredients from their distinctive Italian heritage. This is where antipasti, primi and secondi come together with passion and flair in a flavourful expression from corporate chef Alberto Colombo’s imagination.

Together with their partnership with Slow Food, La Terrazza aboard Silver Muse offers innovative interactive food stations: an olive oil cellar, a mozzarella bar, a seafood station and of course a salumeria. The à la carte menu has also been extended to include the popular Sapori di Casa, traditional family-style Italian daily specials.

Sourced from volcanic rock and placed in an oven to reach an optimum temperature of 400˚C, Hot Rocks invites guests to cook their food directly at their table. Place your meat, fish or vegetables on top of the grill stone or inside the soup bowl, and then simply cook to your very own taste. Every bite is cooked to perfection, time after time.

With the stone cooking available in the evenings only, Hot Rocks becomes a daytime rotisserie and gourmet salad and burger bar, offering build your own burgers from the best selections of meat.

Hot Rocks is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Reservations are required for dinner.

Regina Margherita

Reflecting Silversea’s Italian heritage, this enormously popular queen captured the hearts and minds of Italians during the late 19th century and is the proud name-bearer of the most “Italian” of pizzas.

The simplicity of la Margherita is reflected in the relaxed dining style of the restaurant. Open all-day, Regina Margherita offers an extensive pizza menu baked in a custom built traditional oven. With its long opening hours (from morning to late-evening), the pool side open-air restaurant will be the go-to choice for families as well as those preferring to dine in casual atmosphere.

Regina Margherita is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner.

Kabuki

One of the most immediately recognisable characteristics of Japanese culture by its stunning costumes and elaborate make-up, the ancient art of kabuki theatre reflects a passion for tradition and performance.

Their reinterpretation of these values is clear. Guests at Kabuki are treated to a theatrical production of flavours, tastes and senses. Balanced menus have been inspired by the five elements of Japanese nutritional cuisine and respect the equilibrium of yin and yang. With teppanyaki available exclusively for evening diners, daytime menus feature a varied and balanced menu of sushi, sashimi and other raw Asian-inspired dishes. Reservations are required for dinner.

Indochine

Evoking a sense of exotic mystery, the Asian-accented Indochine embarks you on an exquisite journey of culinary discovery. Unlock the hidden treasures of the spice markets of Mumbai, whet your appetite with the exoticism of Thailand and temper your taste buds with the cuisine of Vietnam. Elegant and exquisite dishes bursting with Asian essence awaken your gastronomic senses and immerse you in an expansive tapestry of the palate.

Guest Lecturers

For travellers who value learning and personal growth, Silversea offers the Silver Perspectives® Enrichment Programme on longer itineraries with multiple days at sea. In an intimate setting, guests can attend fascinating lectures presented by distinguished guest hosts. These experts include authors, journalists, naturalists, diplomats, professors and other specialists whose lecture topics range from politics to the environment, from tribal customs to ancient history. Lectures generally conclude with a stimulating question and answer session.

Destination Consultants

Silversea’s knowledgeable Destination Consultants have been carefully selected for their regional expertise. On most voyages, a Destination Consultant presents informal discussions about the history and culture, the highlights and must-see places of interest and where to shop or dine. He provides insight about the various shore excursions to help you make the best selection, and even accompanies some of the tours. In places like the Panama Canal or Alaska’s Inside Passage, you’ll hear him expounding about the sights with commentaries from the bridge. And he’s also available to answer individual queries — around the ship or at a round table discussion, perhaps. Or join him at dinner and enjoy convivial conversation along with some expert advice.

Entertainment

The ocean views and soothing sound of the surf can be quite intoxicating at sea, so it’s not surprising that daydreaming on deck is one of the most popular pastimes. However, every Silversea all inclusive cruise also includes a considerable number of more active pursuits — some for the body, some for the mind … and some just for fun.

Connoisseur’s Corner

Discreet. Tasteful. Polished. If you appreciate the finer things in life, then the sophisticated touches of Connoisseur’s Corner will not disappoint. Rich and luxurious, yet airy and spacious, this indoor/outdoor venue is where you sip the finest cognac or whisky from a prestigious range and revel in the tranquil murmur of after-dinner conversation. Facilities

Dress Code

Onboard- Casual resort wear is appropriate for daytime aboard ship, and consists of standard sports outfits as worn at resorts. Shoes should be flat or low-heeled for deck activities. Evening attire falls into three categories: casual, informal and formal. On casual evenings, open-neck shirts, slacks and sports outfits are appropriate. On informal evenings, women usually wear dresses or trouser suits; gentlemen wear jackets (tie optional). Appropriate formal evening wear for women is an evening gown or cocktail dress; men wear tuxedos, dinner jackets or dark suits. On formal nights, guests dining in La Terrazza may opt to wear casually elegant attire (dresses or trouser suits for women; jacket, tie optional for men). Following dinner, all guests are free to take advantage of any or all of the public spaces for both entertainment or cocktails and after-dinner drinks. Sailings of eight days or less typically feature two formal nights, while longer voyages usually have three or four formal nights. Details will be provided in your final cruise documents, but the chart below provides a basic guideline to assist in packing your cruise luggage with the proper attire.

Ashore- Since there is so much to see and do while exploring the sights, you will find that the most important item to pack in your cruise luggage is a pair of comfortable, sturdy shoes. This is particularly important for shoreside explorations where the ground is often uneven and where extensive walking or climbing may be required. Casual attire is appropriate at all times when ashore. Clothing that can be layered to accommodate different temperatures is most versatile and comfortable. Appropriate dress should be worn on shore excursions that visit a mosque, cathedral or monastery. Guests wearing shorts or skirts above the knee or women with bare shoulders may not be permitted to enter. Please check with the Tour Desk aboard the ship for dress requirements before departing on tour.

Disabled Facilities

Guests who rely upon wheelchairs must bring their own. Please note that not all shore excursions are suitable for guests with impaired mobility.

All guests are required to report in writing to Silversea at the time their reservation is made:

- Any physical or mental condition that may require medical or professional treatment or attention during the voyage.

- Any condition that may render the guest unfit for travel, or that may require special care or assistance.

- Any condition that may pose a risk or danger to the guest or anyone else onboard the ship.

- Any condition that may require oxygen for medical reasons.

- Any intention or need to use a wheelchair aboard ship.

Special Dietary Requirements

If you have a special dietary requirement, Silversea will make every attempt to accommodate your request. Please advise them of your needs on the Guest Information Form at least 90 days prior to sailing. Notification should be completed online at silversea.com or sent to: Silversea Special Services, Level 3, The Asticus Building, 21 Palmer Street, London, SW1H 0AH

Medical Centre

Each of the Silversea vessels is equipped with a Medical Centre staffed by a doctor and nurse on 24-hour call when at sea. When docked, supplementary emergency care may also be obtained through local medical facilities. Guest may be charged for medical services and for medications used for their treatment.

Children

Although Silversea accepts guests over the age of six months, there are no special programmes for children on board, and Silversea does not provide for the care, entertainment and supervision of children.
